1. Tell us about B.Aura Interiors and what got you into interior design.
Honestly, it started with just watching how spaces affect people. I’d walk into a badly lit, cluttered room and feel drained within minutes. Then I’d walk into somewhere well thought out and feel completely different. That stuck with me. B.Aura grew out of wanting to give people that second feeling, in their own homes.
2. Your brand talks about “Living With Style.” What does that actually mean to you?
It’s not about matching cushions to curtains, if that’s what people imagine. It’s more about a home fitting the person who lives there — how they move through it every day, what they touch, what they see first thing in the morning. If it looks nice but doesn’t work for real life, it’s not really styled, it’s just decorated.
3. How do you balance what the client wants with your own design instincts?
I ask a lot of questions, honestly more than clients expect. Some know exactly what they want, others just have a vague feeling — “cozy” or “not too loud.” My job is figuring out what that means practically. I’ll push back sometimes, gently, if something won’t work long-term, but it’s always their home at the end of the day, not mine.
4. Walk us through how a turnkey project works for you, start to finish.
We start with understanding how they actually live — not just Pinterest boards. Then comes layout, material selection, budgeting, all of that gets locked in before execution starts. Once we’re on site, I’m handling vendors, timelines, quality checks, the whole mess of it, so the client isn’t stuck chasing five different contractors. One number to call, that’s the idea.
5. What mistakes do you see homeowners make again and again?
Buying furniture before the layout’s even finalized. It happens constantly. People fall in love with a sofa online and then try to force the whole room around it. Also — people underspend on boring stuff like wiring and storage and overspend on decor pieces that don’t really matter in six months. Plan the bones first, decorate later.
6. How much do site visits actually matter?
A lot more than people assume. A drawing looks perfect until you’re standing in the room and the tile alignment’s slightly off, or a light fitting’s in the wrong spot by two inches, and suddenly the whole balance feels wrong. Catching that early is the difference between a small fix and redoing an entire wall.
7. How does sustainability fit into your work?
I try not to treat it as a separate checkbox. It’s more in the small decisions — picking materials that’ll actually last instead of needing replacement in two years, using natural light properly so people aren’t running lights all day, sourcing locally when we can. Nothing flashy, just consistent choices.
8. Any trends or materials you think we’ll see more of?
Warmer tones, honestly. Wood, stone, cane — people are moving away from that stark all-white minimalist look. Furniture that does double duty is growing too, especially with smaller apartments. And sustainable materials — that’s stopped being a “nice to have” for a lot of clients now, it’s expected.
9. What happens when a client’s budget doesn’t match what they want?
I just lay it out plainly — here’s what labor costs, here’s what materials cost, here’s where the money’s actually going. Once people see the real breakdown, it’s easier to prioritize. We figure out together what they can’t compromise on, and where we can simplify. It’s not about cutting quality, it’s about being smart with where the money goes.
10. Where do you see B.Aura Interiors heading?
I want people to trust us completely — not just for how the space looks at the end, but for how easy the whole process feels. Going forward I’d love more projects that mix sustainable choices with something personal, a bit of the client’s own story in the design. Whether that’s full homes or smaller commercial spaces, doesn’t matter much to me — I just want it to feel collaborative, not transactional.
