I
“I believe in the power of design, storytelling, and strategy to create transformative experiences.”
I’m Pranav Parekh — an entrepreneur, strategist, and creative thinker with over 15 years of leadership experience across interior design, branding, and interactive digital environments.
As Principal Designer & Creative Strategist at Axia Design Studio, I lead a passionate team dedicated to transforming spaces into purposeful, inspiring environments. For us, great design is not just about how a space looks — it’s about how it lives, functions, and makes people feel.

OFFICE
With extensive expertise in architecture and interior design, we deliver customized solutions that seamlessly blend aesthetics, functionality, and innovation. Whether it’s a residence, office, salon, retail outlet, or restaurant, every project begins with a deep understanding of the client’s vision and ends with thoughtful, high-quality execution.
- What inspired you to start Axia Design, and how did the journey begin?
Axia Design was born out of a deep love for design and a fascination with how spaces can reflect the essence of a brand. With a strong foundation in branding, brand identity, and strategy, I had the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of businesses, helping them define who they are and how they connect with their audience. This experience gave me a unique perspective—one that blends strategic thinking with creative execution—and it naturally extended into the world of interior design.

RESIDENCE
To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it?
The turning point came while working on salon interior projects for Enrich Pan India. It was here that I discovered the true power of spatial design in transforming not just the look of a space, but the entire customer experience and even business outcomes. I saw how well-thought-out design could elevate brand perception, drive footfall, and create memorable moments for customers.
This experience helped me broaden my horizons beyond residential and commercial spaces to more brand-centric environments like salons and retail outlets. My background in branding became a strong foundation that allowed me to approach interior design from a more holistic perspective—where every detail serves a purpose and contributes to the story being told.
Starting Axia Design Studio was a natural evolution of this journey. It became a space where strategy meets storytelling, where aesthetics aligns with purpose, and where brands can come to life through meaningful, immersive environments.

RESTO BAR
- Can you walk us through your typical design process—from concept to completion?
Our design process is rooted in empathy and clarity. It begins with a deep dive into understanding the client’s vision, goals, lifestyle, and functional needs. We then move into site analysis, mood boarding, and space planning to set the right foundation. Conceptualization follows—with detailed 2D layouts and immersive 3D visualizations that help the client clearly see the design intent and offer feedback at every stage. Once the concept is finalized, we progress into material selection, working drawings, and execution planning. But what truly sets us apart is the way we customize every project. We understand that each client comes with a unique vision, and we treat every project as a fresh opportunity to craft something meaningful and personal. Our portfolio reflects a wide range of styles—from minimal modern to luxurious and eclectic—because we tailor our design language to suit individual tastes, not trends.
As a team of creative thinkers and problem solvers, we collaborate closely with our clients throughout the process. The design is not just ours—it evolves with you, shaped by your feedback, preferences, and aspirations. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. We believe in creating a space that feels truly yours. From the first sketch to the final cushion placement, we’re there every step of the way—delivering turnkey solutions with passion, precision, and a personal touch.
- You cover a wide range of spaces from salons and restaurants to homes and offices. How do you adapt your approach for each type of project?
Each space tells a unique story—and our job is to make that story come alive through design. A salon demands fluidity, hygiene, and a seamless customer experience. A restaurant calls for atmosphere, flow, and emotional connection. A home is all about comfort, warmth, and reflecting the personality of those who live in it. An office, on the other hand, must inspire productivity, collaboration, and efficiency.
We approach every project with context at the core—understanding the purpose of the space, user behavior, and the brand or personal ethos behind it. From there, we adapt the design language, material palette, lighting strategies, and spatial planning to suit the specific goals and mood of the environment.
My experience in branding and working with retail and salon chains has been instrumental, especially in commercial projects. It allows us to think beyond aesthetics—to design spaces that resonate with the customer journey, brand identity, and business objectives. This background helps us align design with strategy, which is particularly important when crafting environments that serve as customer touchpoints.
Nothing we do is one-size-fits-all. Every project is bespoke, thoughtfully curated, and deeply human-centric—because we believe great design doesn’t just look good, it feels right and performs with purpose.

RESTAURANT
- Turnkey solutions are a growing trend. How does Axia Design streamline the end-to-end execution?
Turnkey solutions are not just about convenience—they’re about coherence, consistency, and control. At Axia Design, we’ve developed a robust in-house ecosystem that brings together design, procurement, project management, and execution under one roof. This integrated model allows us to manage quality, timelines, and budgets with precision, ensuring that every detail is delivered exactly as envisioned.
What truly strengthens our turnkey offering is our ability to operate PAN-India. We’re not limited by geography—our experience working across multiple cities gives us a unique advantage when it comes to logistics, vendor coordination, and adaptability to local site conditions. Whether it’s a high-end salon in Mumbai or a corporate space in Bangalore, our execution standards remain consistently high.
With detailed documentation, transparent communication, and a trusted network of vendors and specialists, we ensure smooth transitions from one phase to the next. Clients benefit from having a single point of contact throughout the journey—while behind the scenes, a multidisciplinary team works seamlessly to bring the project to life. Turnkey, for us, isn’t just a service—it’s a commitment to delivering excellence, end to end.
SALON
- Can you share a favorite project or transformation story that you’re particularly proud of?
One of the most defining chapters in our journey has been executing over 30 turnkeys Enrich Salon projects across India. Working with one of the biggest names in the salon industry gave us not only a platform to showcase our capabilities but also an opportunity to truly understand the nuances of brand-led spatial design. Each outlet came with its own set of challenges—varying locations, site conditions, timelines, and customer demographics. Yet, what remained consistent was the need to translate the Enrich brand ethos into a seamless customer experience. From planning fluid layouts and integrating brand colors to ensuring technical precision and high-end finishes, every project helped us sharpen our approach.
It was more than just delivering spaces— it was about building trust, learning to adapt quickly, and staying consistent with quality across regions. This journey opened our vision, expanded our capabilities, and taught us the value of marrying creativity with operational excellence. It remains one of the most rewarding and growth-driven collaborations we’ve had so far.
- What common misconceptions do clients have about working with a design firm?
One of the most common misconceptions is that design firms are only focused on aesthetics—on how things look. While visual appeal is certainly important, good design goes far beyond that. It’s a thoughtful balance of form, function, psychology, and strategy. We consider how a space works, how it flows, how it feels to the people who use it, and how it aligns with the client’s goals—whether that’s enhancing brand perception, increasing efficiency, or improving customer experience.
Another myth is that hiring a design firm is expensive or rigid. In reality, our job is to optimize—to help clients make informed decisions that save time, reduce rework, and avoid costly mistakes. We bring structure and foresight to the process, ensuring that every investment is intentional and impactful.
Clients are also often surprised at how collaborative the journey is. We don’t impose our ideas—we co-create. We listen, ask the right questions, and build a design narrative that reflects the client’s personality, vision, or brand identity. At Axia Design, we see ourselves as partners, not just service providers. Our role is to translate dreams into tangible, functional, and inspiring environments—and that requires trust, communication, and shared creativity every step of the way.
- What’s next for Axia Design—any new services, partnerships, or expansions in the pipeline?
The journey ahead is full of exciting possibilities. We’re currently expanding our capabilities in experiential spatial design, merging storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create more immersive and impactful environments. One of the key areas we’re exploring is collaboration with tech firms to integrate AR/VR into our design process—giving clients a highly interactive and realistic preview of their spaces before execution begins.
We’re also venturing deeper into sustainable architecture and green building certifications, aligning our practice with the growing need for environmentally responsible design. Sustainability is no longer optional—it’s essential, and we’re committed to embedding it into the core of what we do.
On the partnership front, we’re in active discussions with brands in the retail and hospitality sectors for long-term design collaborations. These strategic partnerships aim to create consistent, scalable design languages while maintaining the uniqueness of each space. The future for Axia Design is all about innovation, impact, and intentional growth.
- What advice would you give to aspiring designers or entrepreneurs entering this industry?
My advice would be: design with intention, not just ambition. Don’t chase trends—chase meaning. Invest time in understanding people, because ultimately, design is about the human experience. Learn to communicate, to listen, and to lead with empathy. Stay curious. The industry is dynamic, so adaptability and continuous learning are crucial. Lastly, don’t be afraid to start small, but always dream big. This field has the power to change not just spaces, but lives.
