The White Canvas: Company description 

We started our solo trip amidst the onset of the pandemic, July 2020 and here we are on our 40th project! 

We have been doing residential projects since our inception, and gradually we have gotten opportunities to set foot in commercial spaces like bespoke business offices and even merchandising stores.  

Our design philosophy is minimalistic, functional and long standing. We like a practical approach towards design with basic necessities and a simple but significant touch of character here and there. 

Our dream is to be one of the leading studios in the country and be successful entrepreneurs. We want to build an efficient team and improvise the face of this industry towards a more stable, reliable and accountable environment. 

We want to make designing process as beautiful as the promise of a design.

Interview 

1. What should homeowners prioritize when selecting finishes and materials for high-utility areas like kitchens ?

 Choose durable, easy-to-clean materials like quartz countertops, tile floors, and stainless-steel fixtures. 

2. How do you collaborate with contractors and plumbing professionals to align aesthetic vision with technical requirements? 

Collaborate early with clear plans; ensure design and technical needs are aligned from the start. We begin with a shared planning session that includes all stakeholders designer, contractor, plumber to ensure design ideas are grounded in technical feasibility. Using detailed schematics and 3D visualizations, we can foresee conflicts early. Regular check-ins throughout the project ensure aesthetic and technical aspects stay aligned. 

3. What are some common design oversights you see during renovations, especially when it comes to bathrooms? 

 Skipping ventilation, poor waterproofing, and not planning enough storage are common mistakes. 

4. How do you see smart home technologies, like water-saving faucets or hidden plumbing features, influencing modern interior design? 

 Smart tech adds efficiency and minimalism; features like touchless faucets and hidden plumbing blend with modern design.

5. What maintenance or design tips would you give homeowners to keep Home spaces looking and functioning great over time?
   Choose timeless over trendy,it prevents frequent redesign.
   Use high-quality sealants in wet areas.
   Clean grout and surfaces with non-abrasive cleaners regularly.
   Install easily replaceable fixtures (faucets, handles, light fixtures). e. Schedule regular checks for leaks or signs of wear.

6. What qualities do you consider when selecting plumbing and design materials for kitchens and bathrooms? 

Look for durability, water resistance, ease of cleaning, and eco-certifications. 

7. How do you work with technical teams—plumbers, electricians, etc.—to achieve cohesive and practical interiors? 

We use detailed project planning and documentation, including CAD drawings, elevations, and product specs, to eliminate confusion. Collaboration tools like shared schedules and site walk-throughs keep all teams aligned. Flexibility is also key: sometimes, the design must adapt slightly to technical realities. 

8. From your experience, what are some pitfalls people fall into during renovation projects, and how do you help them avoid those? 

 People often underestimate time and cost; we help by setting clear budgets and timelines.

9. How do smart home features—like leak detectors or automated faucets—play into your vision of the modern home? 

They enhance the efficiency, safety, and intelligence of a home. Leak detectors can prevent thousands in damage, while smart faucets reduce water use and add convenience. Integrated home systems make the home more responsive and eco-conscious. 

10. What long-term design and maintenance advice do you share with clients to protect their investment in Home upgrades? 

Choose timeless designs, maintain regularly, and invest in quality to protect your upgrades.

11. How can design choices contribute to water efficiency and environmental responsibility in a home? 

Use low-flow fixtures, smart irrigation, and sustainable materials to save water and energy. 

12. What guidance would you offer to someone designing their dream Home for the first time? 

Focus on how you live, plan ahead, hire pros, and make thoughtful, long-term choices.
